Hello, I have nearly finished the right hand side, just the jacking point to attach. Then, and just to even it up, I shall cut out the sills on the left hand side.
The rust has taken hold in the usual Safari places, the rear window frames and tailgate window frame. Plus in some unusual places. Like around the door frame , only in 2 inch sections in random places. The roof rail is pristine, no rust at all, just a lot of pop rivets at the front where the ambulance conversion was carried out, and down the B pillars. All the ambulance stuff has been stripped out. The divider between the driver and the stretcher was fine if you were 5 foot 6, the seats had very limited fore aft adjustment, so no good for me.
I can’t remember if I have already bored everyone with the air con installation. I have removed the strapontins, and have used that area for the condenser. I’ve done a dummy build, the pipework goes through the sills, but pops into the cabin at the B post.
