Will also go see Paul at Pallas Auto next month. BTW, I’ve also got a model year 1968 (manufactured in ‘67), with the new nose & old dashboard.
Hi Peter, yes the car is mostly in good condition from a chassis perspective. There is a bit of rust on the front left wing. I recently got it checked by Jan at Citroen Konijnendijk in the Netherlands. (https://citroen-konijnendijk.nl/) He said that to do the paint job properly it will be quite a long and expensive process…
The previous owner of the car had it repainted on the cheap, and it’s now showing up in all sorts of ugly ways. I think with these cars it’s best to do it right the first time otherwise it will end up being more expensive to do it cheap in the long run..
I’m trying to put a budget together for the body paint job, but finding it hard to get a reliable quote. Will likely need to wait until I take the car to Darrin/Paul..
