Hi Robert,
You are in a particular forum. The search facility is on the forums home page, so you need to go to MEMBERS AREA > FORUMS and then you will see the SEARCH box. If you cannot find it, please let us know.
Good Luck

Thanks. I am still looking. I have been offered some with helicoils but am trying to find one with good spark plug threads.

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.uk35 minutes but there’s an update… I started the engine and it blew out the spark plug and I cannot thread it back in. So now I am wondering whether I can drive it on 3 cylinders without a spark plug in #4 or whether that would be dangerous if petrol vapour exited the #4 cylinder into the engine compartment.
At the moment I am trying to find a mobile mechanic who can fit a new helicoil but I do not know what happened to the old one – is there now debris in the cylinder I am wondering.Blogging at https://beambreaking.co.uk
Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukThanks Paul and Peter for such swift and useful responses. OK I have come to the conclusion that my aux clutch control under the steering wheel does not work but Paul’s description of what happens at the other end let me pull out the little hook and jam it there with a spanner. And Paul was right, I had to remove the aluminium cowling to see why the starting handle would not engage. Its natural route does not engage for some reason, but by forcing it over to the right it engages and turns the engine. So all good (If I can remember how to put it all back again)! Next job to do the tappets! But that can wait for another day. Thanks.

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukReally strange…..
At the time of writing, the message list tells me there is an addition to this thread from ‘ccc-28695’, but (on my computer) its not showing in the thread here??
A bit of sleuthing throws this up:
“Nice blog indeed – did you buy the DS20 from french classics?
Well I can see that post OK but the strange thing for me is that I wrote a fairly long reply to it which included some links and there was an error thrown up when I posted it and I just gave up on it as all my text had gone and I could not get it back. Bob

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukI was a committee member of another club and we found the same thing. Members preferred Facebook Groups to Website forums. It’s just a fact.
Anyway, it’s easy to search a Facebook group. See https://www.facebook.com/help/124679047612553/?helpref=uf_share
As for the Citroenian I think it is one of the best club magazine’s I have seen.

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukIs there supposed to be an image? I can’t see one.
The odd thing about my starting handle is that I can never remember how to stow it properly under the spare wheel 🙂

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukI was interested and contacted them but the cost was £55K + VAT. I know a DS presents extra complications and I am sure the job is to a very high standard but I didn’t think it was worth it on my DS worth about £23K.
My guess is that within the next five years we will see more plug and play solutions for classic cars with motor and battery packs slotting into engine bays. Maybe not for our Citroens but for other more conventional classic cars.Bob

Postcards at https://postcardsforpetrolheads.co.ukThanks. Probably good advice but I think I’ve decided on a Pallas. Maybe I need to lose the weight in the van 🙂
