Perfect thanks for confirming that Paul and as you say the trim looks very delicate 👍

Looking at the white upper vinyl again it looks like there isn’t any glue, am I right in thinking the top chrome trim just pulls off to access screws below?

Justin I have just replaced my high pressure pump as I had a leak and had oil on the right hand side brake discs and pad areas, it gave itself away as it was being flicked up onto my air box by the pulley on the clutch adjustment pulley below. My air box is against the right hand wing being fuel injection. Leak was coming from seal at front of pump behind pulley.

Paul he didn’t even mention a second hand pump as an option and by this time I was chocolate drunk on Swiss rolls. I think he may have someone who rebuilds the pumps at a realistic price or I’m in for a surprise I’ll let you know once it’s been got.

    Paul
I spent a couple Of hours with Jamie this evening eating Swiss chocolate cakes which I provided! He’s kindly ordered a rebuilt pump which I will fit under his supervision as he’s so busy at the moment. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for all that info Paul, I’m going to see Jamie today and I’ll see if he has a good second hand pump as my first option,
I’ve tried cleaning the area and tracing the leak without success but thanks for all your help. I hope your Ds is coming along well 🤞

Good to see you gained the finish you were looking for 👌

It’s never ending! Just had my Ds pass it’s latest Mot and that was like waiting for exam results!!! Passed with flying colours, the mot guy mentioned he sees fewer cars coming in for mots and only the descent ones seem to bother! Buyer beware this may be a good point when purchasing.

    Looking good Paul 👍

Lovely car Ian, as Peter says flat out is the only way to drive these cars, I poodled around with mine when T first got it but she now gets a bit of a thrashing and it loves every bit if it. Happy motoring 👌

Thankyou Paul as always you come up trumps 👍

Ok I have been doing a little reading up on this and if I’m right the cold start injector receives information via the temperature sensor on the air filter trumpet? But if it’s not lower than 30 degrees it will not operate the cold start injector which is why I’m not getting any reading at the cold start injector supply.
Does that sound right or am I missing something more intricate?
