Plastic trays were often lost during battery removal 🙁 It’s shown in the parts catalogue DS 531-60, you won’t find a new one of these either.

Hi Simon
The battery supports were susceptible to corrosion, Citroën in their wisdom created a water trap by placing a plastic tray between the battery and support frame creating a moisture trap. I would try and restore the original frame as they are not readily available. *gauntlet thrown down* Rebuild with plenty of Waxoil or similar.

Just out of interest Julian Marsh writes for the Citroënian and his own website Citronet, your car was shown in a page from the 2017 D Rally (there is more if you look around)

Hi Sean
Well done with Nigel having a look at your DS, apart from a few people on here you won’t get any better advise. Jamie will look after you and your DS and I am sure you will enjoy your driving experience after he’s fettled it!
Welcome to the club and looking forward to meeting you and your car sometime soon.

I used gris rose on mine (1973 pallas) which was not the correct colour. However, you don’t see much of the wheel with the full size wheel trims so I’m happy with that.

Common problems are sucking unwanted air in around a warped base. You can flatten the carb base, or use a little bit of mastic to fill out the gap.
As Paul mentioned this is the biggest problem with the Weber is ‘heat soak’ causing the bas to warp.

Mine neither. I like to keep the provenance of the original mark… But whatever floats your boat!

Hi Ben
These bushes are notorious for perishing and an easy job to replace, might be worth a look…
