Jamie: I have “The Blue One”: it is a 1985 652cc Special that has done nearly 100,000 miles. Linda and I have owned it nearly 16 years. Amazingly, it looks like a 30,000 mile car. You have joined a very exclusive group of owners as there are only about 4 or 5 taxed to be on the road in the UK.
You should be aware that Mike Harker and I have a selection of spare parts between us that might be able to help you if you have problems sourcing components. When you eventually get it on the road, I hope you will find it is: comfortable; has lovely steering; good heating and ventilation; quiet at 60 mpg cruise or when engine not working hard and thus much more refined than a 2CV or Dyane or Ami; brakes are heavy but effective; nearly 2CV slow but other drivers think you are a normal car!
Sadly, our Visa has not gone anywhere this year because of the COVID-19 issues and it is stuck in storage awaiting its turn to be used as I have 4 classic Citroens.
