Hello Steve,
The Chevronic Centre [https://www.chevronics.co.uk] does have a NEW bonnet on its parts list but it costs a lot of money so that is perhaps why you want a second-hand one. Whether the Chevronic Centre has a second-hand one is something you might want to ask.Graham Wilson
GS/A RegistrarI have never looked for seat covers for our GSA (or GS) but when we bought our GSA in 2007, the original fabric on the seats was badly damaged and there were seat covers over them but they did not fit perfectly. I assume they were bought as “universal fit” seat covers by an earlier owner. We then had the seats re-covered professionally and they still look good after 30,000 miles. I can add that our Visa 652cc Special also came with what I think were “universal fit” seat covers and we eventually got replacement seats for the car. The cheapest option would be to look at what seat covers you can buy off the shelf that might fit and so do look at Halfords and similar to see what covers are on offer or put an advert in the Citroenian magazine and see if anyone has a good set of GSA seats you could buy.

GSection RegistrarThe G Rally in 2025 at Tilford was a success with about 20% of GS and GSA cars that are on the road being present.
I use the “How Many Left?” website to find out how many GS/As are taxed or on SORN but the website had not been updated from Quarter 2 of 2024 when I looked at the data before the 2025 rally. I think numbers on the road are now not changing much and variation is mainly between being on SORN or “Taxed”.

RegistrarHello John,
It looks like there will be no G Rally this year. Some people did not like the Army Fling Museum venue we used last year because there was no camping provision. The CCC Board is aware we are not holding an AGM again and the existing committee members will carry on.

GSection Registrar & SecretaryHello Jamie
Linda and I will be at the CCC National Rally on both Saturday and Sunday unless thunderstorms prevent us from getting there. We will be in “PUD” our blue GSA Special reg No. PUD 441W. The Visa is back in storage for a while but did go to a classic car event earlier this year.

GSection RegistrarJamie: I have “The Blue One”: it is a 1985 652cc Special that has done nearly 100,000 miles. Linda and I have owned it nearly 16 years. Amazingly, it looks like a 30,000 mile car. You have joined a very exclusive group of owners as there are only about 4 or 5 taxed to be on the road in the UK.
You should be aware that Mike Harker and I have a selection of spare parts between us that might be able to help you if you have problems sourcing components. When you eventually get it on the road, I hope you will find it is: comfortable; has lovely steering; good heating and ventilation; quiet at 60 mpg cruise or when engine not working hard and thus much more refined than a 2CV or Dyane or Ami; brakes are heavy but effective; nearly 2CV slow but other drivers think you are a normal car!
Sadly, our Visa has not gone anywhere this year because of the COVID-19 issues and it is stuck in storage awaiting its turn to be used as I have 4 classic Citroens.
