The last reply from you was on the 22nd May. If there was one after that, I might have deleted it in error – with apologies.
I’m still tuning the spam controls and, until that process settles, I’m killing the spam manually. Also, I’m still learning how to use the software!
Bear with me.

As discussed elsewhere, you can now edit your posts for ten minutes just like the old forums. After that time, email me and I’ll make any changes.
As to beta testing, we simply had no time. You’ll know by now that we’ll consider all suggestions and make changes so that the forums suit the needs of the Club and its members. The new website project was all about providing for secure maintenance into the future.
If you search the forum archive you will learn that there was much discussion about what is a classic and what isn’t and how the individual forums were too numerous (there were thirty-five of them). So, we decided to emulate the Citroënian chapters and then see where we want to go. Nothing is set in stone, but further development will depend upon availability of time and skills.
Thanks for the feedback

Re Facebook, I said..
“Now we have the Facebook page for all-comers so this is our opportunity to build a useful, permanent technical resource for Club members”
..which, upon reflection could have been worded less ambiguously! I meant that we have Facebook for all-comers so this forum is our opportunity to build stuff we really do want to keep and find easily.
I’m too old to learn more than one bit of software at a time so I’ll save the gallery bit until later. Meanwhile we can post an image here..
..with about the same level of effort as before. All the best

We can allow editing up to a time limit. The old forums were set to ten minutes as far as I remember, so I’ll do that. That allows the user to correct speeling mistakes and things like that.
If anyone wants to edit after that time, I can do it from here.
Thanks for the suggestion.

It’s probably best to post the in D-info Spéciale forum. Meanwhile, have a look through the archive which is now linked from the Introduction in ‘Welcome to the CCC forums’.

CCC AdminThanks for the input Peter.
Subsections. We’re going to see how it goes and what the general requirement is then develop the forums from there as we go along.
Members only? Yes. We experimented with non-member viewing in the old forums and that had no positive impact on member numbers. Now we have the Facebook page for all-comers so this is our opportunity to build a useful, permanent technical resource for Club members.
Blue type..: Yep, I know. We had to synchronise launch with the May Citoënian and I didn’t have time to fix a lot of the less than satisfactory things. The ‘Blue type’ is on the list. Email and forum archive were higher up.
Thanks for the constructive input.

This works pretty much like the old forums did and you will be able to insert hosted images (the image tag is in the composer). I’m still learning how to use it myself!
We don’t intend to compete with Facebook, but we do intend to facilitate a member’s only community where important stuff won’t be lost in chaff.
Pleas bear with us while we get on with developing the usability of the site.
Cheers
